PolitiFact Check On IE Sen. Jeff Stone's Recent Claims About Crime In California

Following the shooting death of a Whittier police officer in late February, Riverside County Republican state Senator Jeff Stone claimed violent crime has been on the rise in California since 2011.  Stone added that violent crime spiked 12 percent in 2015.  Capital Public Radio's PolitiFact reporter Chris Nichols checked out those claims by the state Senator from Temecula.
