After issuing a warning earlier this week that it would intervene, the U.S. Justice Department has filed an anti-trust lawsuit seeking to prevent the $56 million sale of the Press-Enterprise and the Orange County Register to the company that already operates the Los Angeles Times and the San Diego Union-Tribune. Ken Vincent has retired. We appreciate the way he shared his expertise with many of our young interns and reporters over the nearly eight years he spent as KVCR's lead journalist and Morning Edition host.
