This edition of KVC-Arts Adam Rainey-Ruiz sat down with Duan Kellum, one of the curators for the Black and Brown In the Inland Empire and Beyond exhibit. This exhibit can be seen at the Altura Credit Union Community Gallery inside the Cheech. Join us as we talk about Duan’s history as an artist in the Inland Empire, pieces from the exhibit, as well as how the exhibit came to be and much more.

This past weekend the Division 9 Gallery hosted the annual Day of the Dead Festival in downtown Riverside. A Mexican tradition in which families remember and honor those who have passed.

On this episode of KVC-Arts, Adam Rainey Ruiz talks to the curator of the Division 9 Gallery, Cosmé Cordova. We’ll hear about Cosmé’s history as an artist, the work he has done since establishing the Division 9 Gallery in 1999, and what to expect at the Day of the Dead Color Run on 10/25/25 as well as the Day of the Dead Festival that takes place from 11/1-2/25.

The city of Riverside, in partnership with the Riverside Arts Council, launched the Artists in Residency program (AIR) to spark creativity and strengthen community connections. Six artists were chosen by the arts council to bring the AIR program to help enrich the city with murals that reflect the district spirit of each neighborhood.

Adam Rainey Ruiz speaks with Richie Velazquez, who also goes by his artist name, Deladeso. We'll hear about his history as an artist, and his involvement in Riverside's new Artists in Residency program.
