Part of the mission of the Riverside School of the Arts is to empower, encourage, and uplift students to learn not just about music and dance, but also about the history of life in California. This week, that history is focused on Cesar Chavez, who -- like many of these students from underprivileged communities -- wanted equal opportunity for all. Saturday, March 28 from 12 noon to 4 pm, the community is invited to watch history unfold through a series of films about Cesar Chavez and his legacy of progressive reform. The event will be held in downtown Riverside outside of the UCR Arts Block. KVCR's Natalya Estrada has more in this report.
