There's a new book out called, "The Man from Muscle Shoals." It's about Rick Hall, one of the most successful record producers in the country. Hall got his start writing country songs, but soon found prominence producing Aretha Franklin, Clarence Carter, and even Wilson Pickett. And it was while he had Pickett that he also had Duane Allman. This led to quite a hit, but also quite a slip of the tongue. KVCR's David Fleming has this conversation with Rick Hall.
You can hear more conversation with Rick Hall, and hear a preview of the upcoming 4th Annual Yucaipa Music and Art Festival, on the next KVC-Arts, Wednesday (tonight) night at 7, and Sunday night at 6, on 91.9 KVCR.
