Last night’s debate between Republican North Carolina Gov. Pat McCrory and Attorney General Roy Cooper, a Democrat, focused on coal ash, taxes and HB2, the controversial “bathroom bill” that requires transgender people to use the bathrooms according to the sex on their birth certificate.
A poll out today gives Cooper a two-point advantage in the race.
