California is confronting a growing homeless population, with more than 52,000 of people who are homeless living in Los Angeles County, according to data from the Los Angeles Homeless Services Authority.
Here & Now’s Jeremy Hobson speaks with a homeless family from Nigeria, who is getting assistance from Pathways of Hope, an organization that provides food, shelter and housing to those who are homeless in Southern California. He also talks with Jill Replogle (@jillrep), Orange County reporter for KPCC, about what’s behind the rise in homelessness in Southern California.
