Interim Marketing & Communications CoordinatorJustin serves as the Interim Marketing & Communications Coordinator at KVCR Public Media, home to PBS, PBS KIDS Television, and NPR radio for the Inland Empire. Passionate about the power of storytelling and community connection, Justin has led initiatives that strengthen KVCR’s visibility and deepen its impact across digital platforms. His work has helped attract younger and more diverse audiences while championing the importance of public media in supporting education, access, and lifelong learning. Beyond digital engagement, Justin plays an active role in KVCR’s development campaigns and community events, ranging from PBS Kids Camps and Operation Gobble to Photos with Santa and local outreach initiatives, all driven by his belief that public media is essential for inspiring and educating the region’s youngest learners. When he’s not at work, you can find him cruising the mountains to Lake Gregory for his weekly runs with his wife Sarai and dog Sally.

Last Tuesday, March 17, on St. Patrick’s Day, the Riverside City Firefighters Association (RCFA) Pipes and Drum Band assembled for their 6th annual Pub Crawl through Downtown Riverside, celebrating the rich heritage of Irish and Scottish firefighting traditions.

Last Friday marked the beginning of something powerful for fifty high school students in the Inland Empire. The second cohort of the Chicano Latino Youth Leadership Project’s (CLYLP) Inland Empire Institute kicked off a three-day experience designed for students to build skills in leadership, civic engagement, and college readiness.

On March 17, 2025 the Riverside City Firefighters Association’s Pipe and Drum Band marched through Downtown Riverside for its 5th Annual St. Paddy’s Day Pub Crawl to celebrate the rich heritage of Irish and Scottish firefighting traditions.

On February 28th, 2025 a dedication ceremony took place for the unveiling of a plaque commemorating Booker T. Washington’s 1914 visit to Riverside. Several historic tablets are situated at various locations at Mt. Rubidoux.

On Monday, January 6th, Jose Medina held a community swearing-in ceremony at The Cheech Marin Center for Chicano Art & Culture, formally assuming the responsibilities of a member of the Riverside County Board of Supervisors representing the First District.

On November 19th, 2024, a statue of Cheech Marin was unveiled at the Cheech Marin Center For Chicano Art & Culture of the Riverside Art Museum.
