Former Temecula Mayor Chuck Washington Joins RivCo Board Of Supervisors

www.cityoftemecula.org

The Riverside County Board of Supervisors will finally have its full complement of 5 Supervisors on board, after waiting several weeks for Governor Jerry Brown to appoint former Temecula Mayor Chuck Washington to replace former Supervisor Jeff Stone, who's now in the state Senate.  Washington is the first African American Riverside County Supervisor, and the only Democrat to hold the officially non-partisan post in many years.  KVCR's Ken Vincent speaks with Paul Young, Riverside County Bureau Chief for City News Service, about how Chuck Washington could change the dynamic on the Board.

Ken Vincent has retired. We appreciate the way he shared his expertise with many of our young interns and reporters over the nearly eight years he spent as KVCR's lead journalist and Morning Edition host. We wish him a happy and relaxing retirement as he spends more time in his garden and, as he mentioned, more time on the golf course. Thanks Ken!
