Supreme Court Sends Birth Control Case Back To Lower Courts

The U.S. Supreme Court unanimously refused to weigh in on a dispute between the Obama administration and faith-based groups over birth control, sending the issue back to lower courts to find a compromise.

Faith-based groups objected to a compromise arrangement devised by the Obama administration that would have spared the organizations from having to pay for birth control for women covered under their health plans. Here & Now’s Robin Young is joined by NPR’sRon Elvingto discuss the implications of the decision.
