New U.S. Census figures released this month show California still has the highest rate of poverty in the nation. Just over 15 percent of Californians lived in poverty in 2015, which is down from the previous year. But social service advocates say the poverty rate is still too high, and is particularly pervasive in places like San Bernardino.
