Newly-Appointed Riverside County Supervisor Manuel Perez Already Has An Election Opponent

Shaun Roberts/Wired

V. Manuel Perez, the former Coachella Valley state Assemblyman whom Gov. Jerry Brown yesterday tapped to fill a vacancy on the Riverside County Board of Supervisors, won't be formally sworn in for another couple of weeks.  And already, Perez has a potential challenger to his election campaign for the seat next year.   KVCR's Ken Vincent has more.

Ken Vincent has retired. We appreciate the way he shared his expertise with many of our young interns and reporters over the nearly eight years he spent as KVCR's lead journalist and Morning Edition host. We wish him a happy and relaxing retirement as he spends more time in his garden and, as he mentioned, more time on the golf course. Thanks Ken!
