Final IE News Review With P-E's Cassie MacDuff: Farewell And Best Wishes To Cassie

twitter.com

EDITORIAL NOTE FROM KVCR:  After more than 30 years as a local journalist, almost 20 years as a Press-Enterprise columnist, and nearly a decade of reviewing the week's local news on 91.9 KVCR, Cassie MacDuff is leaving the P-E to start a new job in the area.  KVCR wants to thank Cassie for her weekly radio appearances, and for her contributions to the IE community over the years.  KVCR will miss Cassie, and we wish her the best in her continued pursuits.

In her final segment on 91.9 KVCR before departing the Press-Enterprise moving on to a new position, Press-Enterprise Columnist Cassie MacDuff and KVCR's Ken Vincent review some of the major news stories of the week in the Inland Empire, including:

-National Guard drones will be based at March Air Reserve Base;

-San Bernardino terror suspect's mother, sister, or the government will get his life insurance payout;

-It's official: registered Democrats outnumber registered Republicans in the IE now, and;

-Cassie expresses appreciation for KVCR staff and listeners, and KVCR bids Cassie farewell and best of luck in her new job.

Ken Vincent has retired. We appreciate the way he shared his expertise with many of our young interns and reporters over the nearly eight years he spent as KVCR's lead journalist and Morning Edition host. We wish him a happy and relaxing retirement as he spends more time in his garden and, as he mentioned, more time on the golf course. Thanks Ken!
