LOS ANGELES (AP) — Another legal fight is underway over home marijuana delivery in California.
A cannabis company is suing Santa Cruz County, claiming that it's violating state law by prohibiting deliveries by out-of-county retailers into a swath of unincorporated areas.
The East of Eden Cannabis Co. lawsuit filed last week in Superior Court in Santa Cruz County comes as the latest development in a thorny fight over who decides where pot can be delivered.

growers and sellers can obtain permits to do business in unincorporated

Pot farming and the timber industry leave very different marks on forests, according to University of California researchers who want to know more about the ecological impact of growing marijuana. Capital Public Radio's Julia Mitirc has more.

Recreational marijuana businesses will soon be legal in California.  It's unclear what - if any - enforcement will come from the federal government.  But a bill in the state Legislature would limit state and local law enforcement from teaming up with the feds on certain marijuana cases.  Capital Public Radio's Julia Mitric reports.

In the High Desert last month, the Victor Valley College board discussed offering marijuana research as a subject for students.  The Mayor of Adelanto attended the meeting to make what college board members called, "a pretty unbelieveable offer."  Charity Lindsey broke the story for the Victor Valley Daily Press, and has a report from KVCR.
