Matt Guilhem Leaving KVCR Following Accolades For National Reporting On SB Mass Shooting

www.facebook.com/

In Part 1 of a two-part interview, KVCR's Ken Vincent interviews reporter Matt Guilhem, who is leaving his position at KVCR to become the local "Morning Edition" host for Boise State Public Radio, the NPR affiliate in Bosie, Idaho.  Matt talks about his new job and home, and about his experience at KVCR, particularly his award-winning national reporting for NPR on the Dec. 2 terror attack in San Bernardino resulting in the deaths  of 14 people.

In Part 2 of the interview (posted below), Matt previews his multi-part series of reports on the mental health aftermath of the San Bernardino mass shooting, which will air this week and next week on 91.9 KVCR.  The series is a product of Matt's selection earlier this year as a fellow in the USC Annenberg School of Communication's Heath Policy Journalism Fellowship.

Ken Vincent has retired. We appreciate the way he shared his expertise with many of our young interns and reporters over the nearly eight years he spent as KVCR's lead journalist and Morning Edition host. We wish him a happy and relaxing retirement as he spends more time in his garden and, as he mentioned, more time on the golf course. Thanks Ken!
