Group Wants More California Women To Run For Elected Office
The civic engagement organization "Close The Gap California" is looking to have more women run for elected office. The group has set a goal of electing 16 more women to the California State Legislature in 2016. The organization held a conference in Sacramento yesterday to connect potential candidates with the people and resources they might need to explore a run for public office. Capital Public Radio's Katie Orr stopped by the conference and has this report.
