The civic engagement organization "Close The Gap California" is looking to have more women run for elected office. The group has set a goal of electing 16 more women to the California State Legislature in 2016. The organization held a conference in Sacramento yesterday to connect potential candidates with the people and resources they might need to explore a run for public office. Capital Public Radio's Katie Orr stopped by the conference and has this report.
