San Bernardino Sheriff’s Department Investigating Homicide In West Valley Detention Center
The San Bernardino Sheriff’s Department is investigating a homicide inside the West Valley Detention Center in Rancho Cucamonga.
The sheriff’s department said in a news release that a 62-year-old San Bernardino County jail inmate was found unconscious and died early Monday.
A cellmate, 32-year-old Sandro Rivera, has been booked on suspicion of homicide in connection with the inmate’s death.
The inmate who died was not named.
Detectives from the department’s Specialized Investigations Division are investigating and the Riverside County Coroner will conduct an autopsy.
The department is asking anyone with information to contact them either on-the-record or anonymously.
