In San Diego, 16 People Are Dead And Hundreds Are Sick Amid Hepatitis-A Outbreak

Susan Murphy, KPBS

Updated numbers from San Diego County show that the death toll from a hepatitis-A outbreak in the city of San Diego show that 16 people have died, hundreds have been sickened, and city officials will propose declaring a city-wide public health emergency.  More from KVCR's Ken Vincent.

Ken Vincent has retired. We appreciate the way he shared his expertise with many of our young interns and reporters over the nearly eight years he spent as KVCR's lead journalist and Morning Edition host. We wish him a happy and relaxing retirement as he spends more time in his garden and, as he mentioned, more time on the golf course. Thanks Ken!
