Paychecks for nearly 22,000 employees that were scheduled to be desposuted in the banks at the start of January 2 arrived several hours late, causing frustration for teachers and other employees who expected to see money in their accounts.
The San Bernardino Sun reports that an email to the districts was sent, noting there had been a delay in trasnmitting funds and that the delay would result in money showing up late in employee bank accounts.
The email did not specify what caused the delay. San Bernardino City Unified posted a memo to its website Wednesday apologizing for the miscommunication and inconvenience.
