More Malibu residents forced to flee the Woolsey Fire are back home today, in time to face a rain forecast for Wednesday that brings fears of possible mudlsides as the estimated date for full containment of the fire was moved back to Thursday.
Since erupting November 8 in Venutra County and quickly spreading into L.A. County, the fire has charred 96,949 acres and was 91 percent contained by sunday night. Full containment had been projected to take place first on Sunday, then today. The number of structures destroyed has been raised to 1452, with 337 damged with 90 percent of the burn area assessment completed.
