The Seattle City Council voted unanimously on Monday to pass a new corporate head tax aimed at addressing the city’s problems with homelessness. Amazon, one of the companies that would be most affected, lobbied against the bill, and voiced its disappointment, despite the fact that the initial tax proposal was cut nearly in half.
