San Bernardino City Councilman, John Valdivia has unseated Mayor Carey Davis in the San Bernardino mayor's race. According to a write-up in the San Bernardino Sun yesterday, the two leaders have been in a close race since emerging from a field of candidates in the June primary.
Under Mayor Davis, the city exited bankruptcy with a long-term plan for fiscal solvency. Valdivia will collect about $125,000 annually as San Bernardino's Mayor.
