Amid Staff Departures, Uber Posts $700 Million Loss

Uber told The Wall Street Journal this week that it lost more than $700 million in the first quarter, even though the company’s revenue was up nearly 20 percent compared to the previous quarter.

The company also fired a star engineer accused in a lawsuit of stealing self-driving secrets from Google. Uber also said this week that its head of finance is leaving the company.

Here & Now‘s Jeremy Hobson discusses the news with Curt Nickisch (@CurtNickisch) of Harvard Business Review.
