Seattle is moving ahead to create safe sites for addicts to consume or inject drugs under the supervision of medical personnel. The facilities — the first of their kind in the country — aim to save lives and connect people dealing with addiction to treatment services.
Now, the Massachusetts Medical Society wants its members to support so-called safe injection facilities in that state, as well. Martha Bebinger (@mbebinger) from Here & Now contributor WBUR reports.
