Major bipartisan victories seem to be on the horizon in Washington. Both houses of Congress overwhelmingly voted in favor of a long-term highway funding measure yesterday, and on Wednesday the House passed an overhaul of the No Child Left Behind Act.
Not all is agreed upon, however, as Republicans also pushed a measure through that would gut the Affordable Care Act and strip Planned parenthood of funding for a year. President Obama is expected to veto the measure.
NPR’s Ailsa Chang talks with Here & Now’s Jeremy Hobson about what all these actions mean.
