Nevada's Clark County Sheriff's Department has provided a hotline phone number for Californians and others who are looking for information about relatives or loved ones who were in Las Vegas Sunday night, with whom contact hasn't yet been made,  and who may have been affected by yesterday's mass shooting.

THE PREVIOUS HOTLINE NUMBER PUBLISHED YESTERDAY IS NO LONGER IN EFFECT; authorities said they had technical problems with the previous hotline.  THE FOLLOWING IS THE NEW HOTLINE NUMBER FROM THE CLARK COUNTY SHERIFF'S DEPARTMENT FOR INFORMATION ABOUT RELATIVES/MISSING PERSONS IS 1-800-536-9488

Ken Vincent has retired. We appreciate the way he shared his expertise with many of our young interns and reporters over the nearly eight years he spent as KVCR's lead journalist and Morning Edition host. We wish him a happy and relaxing retirement as he spends more time in his garden and, as he mentioned, more time on the golf course. Thanks Ken!
