Governor Jerry Brown Announces Mandatory Statewide Water Restrictions

Over the past several weeks, Governor Jerry Brown had been getting criticism from several different directions for not imposing mandatory water conservation measures.  Then, within minutes of yesterday's mountain snow survey showing the snowpack at 5 percent of normal, the Governor was ready with a plan for sweeping mandatory statewide water restrictions,  and money to pay for it.  More in this report from Capital Public Radio's Ben Adler.
