Officials Find Last-Minute Funds To Keep Joshua Tree National Park Open To The Public... For Now

Twitter

Joshua Tree National Park will not be closed to the public beginning this morning after all.  In spite of the partial federal government shutdown, park officials have found some money that will allow them to keep some of the park open, for the time being.  KVCR's Ken Vincent explains.

Ken Vincent has retired. We appreciate the way he shared his expertise with many of our young interns and reporters over the nearly eight years he spent as KVCR's lead journalist and Morning Edition host. We wish him a happy and relaxing retirement as he spends more time in his garden and, as he mentioned, more time on the golf course. Thanks Ken!
