FRIDAY UPDATE: Resources Offered For Residents Affected By Canyon Fire 2
UPDATED FRIDAY 11:30 A.M.:
An assistance center is open today (Friday) in Anaheim to help residents whose homes were destroyed or damaged by Canyon Fire 2 as well as anyone else affected by the fire.
The City of Anaheim says the center is a one-stop shop for residents from any city or area affected by the fire and includes representatives from agencies and service providers who can help in the recovery process. AS OF LATE FRIDAY MORNING, the Canyon Fire 2 was 65 percent contained at just over 9,200 acres. There are now just 1,200 firefighters fighting the blaze, , along with with 119 engines, 6 bulldozers, and 3 helicopters. KVCR's Ken Vincent has details in the following audio report.
