Month-Long Push Begins To Get Californians To Become Organ Donors

April is organ donation month and today, April 5, is California's first-ever Organ Donor Registration Day.  KVCR's Rick Dulock provides insight into organ donation  in our state and how to sign up.  He spoke yesterday to tom Mone, CEO of One Legacy - one of four organ recovery programs in our state.  The four organizations together make up the State Registry and are working this month, and today specifically, to focus public attention on organ donor registration.

Rick Dulock is originally from Gainesville, Florida. He fell in love with NPR as a student board operator for 91.9 KVCR in 1996 and since then has worn many hats including Development Director and Pledge Producer. Rick has served as Program Manager since 2011 and is currently working on bolstering KVCR's Weekend Showcase with limited series and unique public radio offerings.
