Illinois Congressman Says He's Worried About Vacant Science Jobs Under Trump

President Trump’s latest budget proposal calls for deep cuts to science, which includes slashing the Environmental Protection Agency by 31 percent.

Many of the government’s top science positions remain unfilled, including the president’s science adviser. That worries Rep. Bill Foster (@RepBillFoster), a Democrat from Illinois and the only member of Congress with a Ph.D. in physics. Here & Now’s Robin Young talks with Foster about his concerns.
