Cinema Culturas, the 2nd Annual Inland Empire Latino Film Festival, began Friday and runs through Sunday in Riverside. Most films in the festival will be screened at Riverside City College's Digital Library Auditorium; many of the screenings are free, such as the Friday afternoon opening film, "Ramona," a comedy short from Mexico (you can find more information about the festival at cinemaculturas.com). There will be a gala reception and screening of the film, "Carmin Tropical" Saturday night at the Fox Performing Arts Center in Riverside.
KVCR's Ken Vincent spoke with Cinema Culturas founder and director Cony Martinez.
