San Bernardino County health officials told the county Board of Supervisors Tuesday that area hospitals are preparing to enter "crisis care" mode.

Arrowhead Regional Medical Center Hospital Director, Bill Gilbert, told the board this means staff will have to look at demand versus resources.

"Basically, the message to our staff, respectively, is do more with less," said Gilbert. "We expect that there will be another surge in the next few weeks, and we are seeing that already in our emergency rooms.”

Arrowhead Regional Medical Center in Colton will hold drive-through coronavirus testing beginning April 9.

COVID-19 testing will be available for the public by appointment only.

The testing will be conducted at the outpatient building entrance on the Arrowhead Regional Medical Center campus.

The testing will occur on Thursday and Friday of this week as well as Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday of next week, from 8a.m. to 5p.m.

In a press release, ARMC said additional testing date will be announced at a later date.
