Weekly News Review With IE Journalist Cassie MacDuff: Lots Of Local Politics

Longtime Inland Empire journalist and KVCR contributor Cassie MacDuff and KVCR's Ken Vincent review some of the Inland Empire's top news stories this week, including:

  1. A bill by Congressman Paul Cook would set aside 300,000 acres of the Mojave Desert for off-road vehicle recreation.
  2. State Sen. Jose Medina didn’t have a challenger in the June primary but he will have one in the November election.
  3. Rialto is on its second temporary city administrator this year while it searches for a permanent replacement.
  4. A Moreno Valley councilman has been blocked from emailing city staff after being accused of harassing them and making an anti-Semitic remark.

Ken Vincent has retired. We appreciate the way he shared his expertise with many of our young interns and reporters over the nearly eight years he spent as KVCR's lead journalist and Morning Edition host. We wish him a happy and relaxing retirement as he spends more time in his garden and, as he mentioned, more time on the golf course. Thanks Ken!
