The Pass Community of Beaumont has been continually rocked by scandal. An FBI raid earlier this year brought to light a questionable relationship between the city and a consulting firm, and a lawsuit threatens to bankrupt the city. Beaumont is also under investigation by the state controller's office. It's under these conditions that the city of Beaumont is looking to pass its first truly balanced budget in years.
