The Riverside City Council is tomorrow (Tuesday) expected to give final approval to an ordinance it gave preliminary approval to last week that would loosen a few of the city's prohibitions on medical marijuana. Riverside's new ordinance will allow residents with a state-approved medical marijuana prescription to legally grow small quantities of medical pot for their own use - with certain restrictions. Riverside and some other Inland Empire communities are re-examining their medical pot regulations in response to a new state law that establishes a framework for state regulation of medical marijuana. KVCR's Matt Guilhem explains.
