Firefighters continue to increase containment of the Holy Fire, burning in the Santa Ana Mountains west of the I-15 corridor. As of Tuesday morning, the Holy Fire has burned 22,986 acres with containment at 59%. There are nearly 1,500 personnel assigned to fight the blaze.
Over the weekend, authorities continued to lift evacuation orders for some Lake Elsinore communities that were evacuated earlier in the week, but also issued a new voluntary evacuation alert for neighborhoods farther north.
