Ontario International Airport has seen an increase in both domestic and international travelers compared to last year’s numbers.
Ontario International Airport is the fastest growing airport in the United States, according to Global Traveler.
Nearly 2.6 million people flew in and out of Ontario International Airport in the first half of the year, an increase of 6.5 percent compared to the first half of last year.
According to the Ontario International Airport Authority, 2.4 million of those were domestic passengers. Over 148,000 were international customers, an increase of 57 percent compared to last year.
In June alone, the total number of passengers was over 477,000, which is almost 10 percent higher than June of last year.
Travelers flying out of Ontario can now reach 21 major domestic and international destinations via nonstop commercial travel, according to the airport.
