Spectrum Lens is a television pilot hosted by actor and filmmaker Joey Travolta, featuring stories by Options For All student filmmakers who are neuro-diverse. KVCR’s Lillian Vasquez spoke with some of the key players behind the project, including Darian Manuz, Program Manager, and Ron DeGenova, Film & Media Production Manager, at the film and media studios for Options for All in San Bernardino. They share how the program offers hands-on experience with the goal of employment in the film and media industry. Lillian also speaks with Joey Travolta, who founded Inclusion Films in 2007, a program that teaches filmmaking to individuals with developmental disabilities throughout California, including at Options for All in San Bernardino. He shares his experience hosting Spectrum Lens and how the storytelling project sheds light on the gifts these aspiring filmmakers have.
