The new fall television season is here, and NPR TV critic Eric Deggans says networks are relying on some familiar faces and genres to bring in audiences. NBC has a reboot of “Will & Grace,” CBS’ “Young Sheldon” is a spinoff of the hit series “The Big Bang Theory” and ABC has the medical drama “The Good Doctor.”
Deggans (@Deggans) tells Here & Now‘s Robin Young these shows can “feel a little like comfort food,” but for those looking for substance, he recommends HBO’s “The Deuce.”
