Women are the fastest growing demographic of homeless veterans. Many of the more than 2 million women vets in the U.S. are coping with mental health issues, substance abuse and physical and sexual trauma, and are at risk of becoming homeless.
Most of the programs for homeless veterans house both men and women together. Rebecca Sheir reports on one of the few programs in the U.S. that caters exclusively to the needs of women veterans.
