What Living In Poverty Is Like In San Bernardino And Other Poor California Communities

en.wikipedia.org

New U.S. Census figures released this month show California still has the highest rate of poverty in the nation.  Just over 15 percent of Californians lived in poverty in 2015, which is down from the previous year.  But social service advocates say the poverty rate is still too high, and is particularly pervasive in places like  San Bernardino.  The California Report's John Sepulvado spoke with Chris Hoene, Executive Director of the California Budget & Policy Center about what life is like for a poor family in San Bernardino and other centers of poverty in the state.
