Voluntary Evacuations Urged For Corona Residents In Canyon Fire Burn Area

The charred, stark landscape in south Corona left by last fall's Canyon Fire now provides a threat of flooding and mudslides as the Inland Empire endures today's Southern California rainstorm.

Voluntary evacuation orders were issued yesterday for residents of south Corona who's homes are in the Canyon Fire burn area.  The Canyon Fire burned 2,600 acres last fall, and there is concern that today's heavy rain could cause flooding and mudslides that would put homes in the burn area in danger.  More from KVCR's Ken Vincent.
